Camp Format

There are a total of 11 campsites at the Zion’s Peak campground. Each ward will be assigned a specific campsite. This means each ward will be responsible for setting up and providing their own equipment for their site. A ward campsite coordinator will be assigned to make sure everything is in place. Your boys will stay together as a ward only at night and morning. The remainder of the time we will be mixing them with other boys in the stake to build new friendships.

Schedule: Each Day/Time

Preparing for Camp

To prepare for camp in the mountains, where you’ll be hiking, swimming, and staying active at high altitude, it’s important to get your body ready ahead of time. Start by increasing your physical activity in the weeks leading up to camp—go on hikes, run, or do other cardio workouts to build endurance.

We will be encouraging ward young men’s leadership to plan hikes that will help prepare the young men. This is also a tremendous opportunity for families to spend time together hiking in preparation.

These meals are planned to keep campers well-fed and ready for all the camp activities!

If your young man has allergies please make sure that information is relayed in the registration form and communicated to ward leaders. We will do the best we can to accommodate but depending on the allergy you may need to provide them with their own food.

Medical Plan

Parents, here’s what you need to know about Zion’s Camp medical plan: The camp has a dedicated medical team, including a doctor and a physician assistant, with a first aid station near the pavilion and a roving team equipped with emergency supplies. In case of serious injury or allergic reactions, 911 will be called, and children may be transported to Heber Valley Hospital. All medications must be listed on pre-camp medical forms and will be administered as needed. Leaders will conduct daily health checks, and special meal plans are available for allergies.

To keep campers safe, hydration stations are set up throughout the camp, and sun protection is encouraged. Emergency procedures are in place for injuries, dehydration, and allergic reactions. Every incident is documented, and parents will be notified if off-site medical care is needed. Please ensure your child has a reusable water bottle and any required medications before camp.
